Family Session at Calico Basin in Las Vegas

One of my most favorite places to shoot in Las Vegas is Calico Basin.  I'm garranteed to get great shots in all season and love the variety that each season brings.  I shot this session in the winter.  The weather was still nice but the leaves had already fallen and died and it was a little brown out but sooo pretty still.  I can't get over how adorable this little girl was for this family session.  Most kids tend to have a short attention span when it comes to being chased by a camera.  She loved it and the camera loved her.  The baby was 3 months old and at that age they're pretty squirmy when putting them in any kind of basket etc., but I have to say he was quite cooperative.  Here are a few favorites from this session.  I hope you like them!!!

Food Photos Las Vegas

I think I'm beginning to really enjoy photographing food.  To me it seems to come easily and is soooo much fun! Here are some food shots I took at a recent wedding I shot.

9037 Salon Session in Las Vegas

I do a lot of work for a local salon here.  If you want a fun, innovative look from a professional and hip salon, I recommend 9037 Salon located in Las Vegas.  All their artists are amazing and take their time in creating a perfect look.
Here is a shoot I did with the owners of the Salon.  Not only are they excellent business people but they are beautiful models.  I was joyed to hear they were going to be my models for their session.  Here are some of my favorites I couldn't wait to share.

Las Vegas Newborn Session

Everyone who knows me knows that I love photographing babies.  Although they are as adorable as can be, they can be quite the challenge when it comes to capturing that picture perfect shot.   My one hour sessions usually turn into two hours with a blink of an eye.  As much as I can say "have the baby fed and sleeping", these little rascals work on their own schedules.  But that's the fun in baby portraits.
Baby Mayer is just one of many who works on his own schedule.  One thing's for sure is all babies like warm temperatures.  Even if it's nice and toasty outside, I like the home just as warm.  And if there's enough shade outdoors, I will probably move the shoot there.  The babies tend to be more relaxed and will probably fall fast asleep.....which I love!

Here are a few shots of a recent newborn shoot I took just after Easter, 2012.  He was born on Easter this year so the parents really wanted to add that in a few images for their baby announcement.  I hope you enjoy!!

Engagement session at the Bellagio

Theresa and Uche are living in Texas.  Theresa just graduated from UNLV the night of our planned engagement shoot.  They are a gorgeous couple and were so fun to work with.
We started out in Bellagio's gardens and moved outside. Since it was beginning of the summer, the temperature was just right outside.
One of the most exciting parts of our shoot was when we started going outside, I wanted to get a shot of them in the revolving door and they were totally down.  So, that's what we tried!  It wasn't as easy as we hoped it to be, in fact, we only got one shot from it.  It ended up looking like a shot taken back in the 50's or so, somewhat antique-ish.  After that we moved outside and that's when their personalities and love for eachother shined.  We were able to move around since it wasn't too busy out and we just had an excellent time.

Thanks Theresa and Uche! Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot!
